Sie können bemerken, dass die meisten von ihnen den gleichen Familiennamen haben, TAMANG. Weil sie der gleichen ethnischen Gruppe angehören, haben sie denselben Familiennamen. Die TAMANG machen 5,5% der Bevölkerung Nepals aus. Sie bilden nach dem MAGAR die zweitwichtigste ethnische Gruppe. Sie sind sehr arm und leben hauptsächlich in den Hügeln umgebend das Kathmandu-Tal, aber auch im östlichen Teil des Landes und im Terai-Region.

Sonam TAMANG has known Vijay ’s family for a long time. At every Trek on the Tamang Heritage Trail, he meets the parents of the little boy. Very poor, they are both farmers. They tried to take over a business in Gongang (management of a tea room / guesthouse), but without success. The earthquake of 2015 destroyed their house and they now live in a tent, in difficult economic conditions. With no ressources, they encounter many difficulties to support the needs of the family. They would very much like to be able to send their children to school, but they cannot support the costs of this project. Education is not a priority.
Since May 2017, the Sahayogi Foundation has welcomed Bimala TAMANG, Vijay’s big sister. Sponsored, she joined Katmandou to be housed and educated. The Foundation would like henceforth to welcome Vijay, who is looking forward to joining his sister, in order to be able to go to school and have a better future

Bikashs Familie ist sehr arm. Der kleine Junge hat einen Bruder, zweieinhalb Jahre alt. Sein Vater arbeitet als Träger, seine Mutter ist Hausfrau. Weil sie keine ausreichenden Einnahmequellen haben, mobilisiert die Sahayogi Foundation Eure Unterstützung, um ihm Bildung und ein Leben unter besseren Bedingungen zu ermöglichen.
In April 2018, Stéphanie Breton & Grégory Salaun pledged to support Bikash, enabling him to live in Kathmandu with Sonam and his family, go to school and receive an education.

Lopsang is the second child of a family of five children. Sponsored by an American donor, he has been able to successfully achieve the level 10 of studies in March 2017 (School Leaving Certificate – S.L.C). He would like to keep on his education 5 years more (S.L.C+2 & Bachelor) and obtain a higher degree in the hotel industry. Unfortunately his parents (farmers) cannot undertake these costs. Lopsang has been a member of the Sahayogi Foundation since May 2017. He works as carrier during holidays to earn a little money, but it is not enought… Thanks to his generous sponsors, Marie Olivier & Yony Haidous (France), Lopsang can return to the school in 2018 !

Sonam TAMANG kennt Bimalas Familie seit langer Zeit. Bei jedem Trekk auf dem Tamang Heritage Trail traf er die Eltern und das kleine Mädchen. Beide Elternteile sind sehr arme Bauern. Sie haben versucht, ein Gasthaus in Gongang zu übernehmen und zu betreiben, hatten damit aber leider keinen Erfolg. Das Erdbeben im Jahr 2015 zerstörte ihr Haus, und seitdem leben sie unter finanziell schwierigsten Bedingungen in einem Zelt.
Ohne jede Ressourcen haben sie grösste Schwierigkeiten, die grundlegendsten Bedürfnisse von Bimala und ihren zwei Brüdern (Bishal and Vijay) zu erfüllen. Sehr gerne würden sie ihren Kindern eine Schulausbildung ermöglichen, aber sie können die finanziellen Mittel dafür nicht aufbringen. Schulbildung hat keine Priorität gegenüber Unterkunft und Nahrung.
Im April 2017 bot Sonam Tamang Bimalas Eltern an, über die Sahayogi Foundation einen « sponsor » zu suchen, der ihrer 6-jährigen Tochter mit seiner Spende den Schulbesuch ermöglicht.
Im Mai 2017 erklärten sich Jean-François Rychlak und Julie Bailleul bereit (France), Bimala für drei Jahre zu unterstützen. Sei ermöglichten es ihr für diese drei Jahre, in Kathmandu bei Sonam und seiner Familie zu leben, eine Schule zu besuchen und Bildung zu erhalten.
Since she arrived in the Nepalese capital, Bimala has been very diligent at school. Her progress are remarkable ! She learns English and French. She is very well integrated in Sonam’s family and willingly participates at the activities proposed by the volunteers.
For each holiday period, she returns to her home village, at her parents‘ home. To better return to Kathmandu.
In spring 2018, she successfully passed her exams, and was awarded her first diploma on April 7 2018, at the „Annual Day Celebration 2074“. Congratulations !
